The USAF JASSM Program Management Office at Eglin AFB awarded SIL a $9.33 million SBIR Phase III commercialization contract to provide 2.1Ah Li-Ion Polymer Intelli-Pack® FTS batteries with advanced BMS for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control JASSM strike weapon.
Scope includes Range Safety qualification (RCC 319-19), NAVSEA S9310 destructive testing, UN38.3 transportation testing, production units, and battery storage. The transition from SBIR Phase IIE R&D into production delivers weight and cost savings for one of America’s most advanced strike systems.
